Edwin Naeyaert, 30, of Ghent, Belgium, was charged with attempting to smuggle drugs into the UK and remanded in custody. The drugs, with a street value of about £468,000, were seized by officers from the newly formed UK Border Agency (UKBA) who searched the lorry at Coquelles Eurotunnel Terminal in France on Sunday night.
