A group of ten illegal immigrants were getting weekly shipments of drugs smuggled in from Mexico. Phoenix police lieutenant Vince Piano said their east Valley customers were mostly teens and young adults. "The group was so regimented over the past ten years that they would work throughout the day and make about $8,000-$10,000 a day just distributing at street level," Piano said.
